Treyarch Looking Into Peacekeeper Availability Issues

Black Ops 2 Revolution DLC Map Pack - Peacekeeper SMG

Something was bound to happen… For the first time in Call of Duty history the developers included a weapon with a DLC pack and not everything went smoothly.

When you introduce new things, you introduce new problems and Treyarch are faced with a problem after the inclusion of a weapon in the DLC pack. Over the past few hours people have been complaining about not being able to select the Peacekeeper weapon. When a user tries to select the weapon, the user is prompted to buy the Revolution Map Pack, even if they already bought the Map Pack.

Luckily Treyarch are aware of whats going on and has taken it to Twitter to update the community. The tweet reads:

It can be frustrating not receiving what you pay for immediately, but sending angry messages to the developers isn’t helping anyone. Treyarch are aware of the issue and are working on solving the problem. In the meantime, you can continue enjoying your game and wait for a hotfix.

That being said, are you experiencing any problems with the Peacekeeper?

    Yes, I can not use the Peacekeeper or even access the new maps even though I bought the Season Pass. But that is because I play on PS3. So hopefully they get this fixed and our implementation is flawless. 8-)

      You being able to use the Peacekeeper would actually be an issue :)

      This is one of the benefits of playing Black Ops 2 on PlayStation 3. The bugs and errors usually are fixed by the time it arrives on PlayStation 3.

    yeah I had issues with the peacemaker. in the middle of a game after respawning the weapon was gone and I was only able to use my knife. and when you exit out of the game the peacemake would disappear from your create a class. So you would have to create it all over again.

      That is the other bug I keep hearing over and over @facebook-583931513:disqus, probably more often than the one Treyarch mentioned in their tweet.

      No doubt this bug will be fixed as soon as possible as well.

    Yes I am having problems why can me and my brother who are on the same xbox play the maps but only I can use the peacekeeper? Do I have to buy another season pass or mp just for him to get the gun…. lame
