There can be only 1 team
- Updated: March 15, 2013
Eight teams announced by Activision to play for the Championship and the chance to win $1,000,000!
Championship Series League is a welcomed new addition to COD. It pits six vs. six (Moshpit Series) against each other in team deathmatch and other objective game modes with standard rules (ranks are solo) or Champion series, four vs. four in a mix of objective game modes with the use of competitive rules (ranks are solo and team). Each player and team is ranked according to how they stack up against others before the season starts. There is a whole ranking system that places you in six different divisions; Masters- top 2%, Platinum- next 18%, Gold- next 20%, Silver- next 20%, Bronze- next 20%, and Iron the last 20% (for more info check sources).
This is where they formed the selections, from the Championship Series Third Season. They, of course were the top eight teams from the third season. The teams are as followed:
- Rage
- TVA
- Vintage
- Pheonix
- Curse
- Quantic
- Complexity
- Awe Sports
The Championship will be held in Hollywood from April 5th through April 7th and it is sponsored by Xbox. The event will be housed in the Hollywood Palladium Theatre. There will be 24 more teams that will be competing in this as well that will be determined by the results of events held around the world by; Major League Gaming, The Australian Cyber League, and the Electronic Sports League. There are two events about to occur; March 15th through the 17th will be Major League Gaming 2013 Pro Circuit Winter Championship in Dallas and March16th through the 17th will be the Electronic Sports League World Championship in Cologne, Germany.
